LAST Friday night, Diabetes UK Cymru held a presentation evening for its voluntary groups at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff. Maureen and Mike Worcester, of Kilgetty, presented a cheque, on behalf of the Tenby and District branch, to Judy Bousher, of Diabetes UK. The cheque was for £6,118.35, which was the amount raised by the 'Walk in the Park' at Llysyfran in June. The walk was a great success again and the branch would like to thank everyone involved, walkers, sponsors, helpers and those who donated prizes and refreshments. Maureen and Mike also deserve a big thank you, because they organise the event and dedicate so much time to it. Since they started this event a few years ago, it has raised over £40,000 for diabetic research.
