South West Wales section of the Motor Caravanners Club (MCC) are to stage a holiday rally from July 25 to August 3 at Greenhill School's playing fields in Tenby. The rally has lined up in excess of 150 motor homes to appear already, with the event set to be the largest of its kind seen in the area. "We've advertised the rally nationally and have had an excellent response already from all over the world," said chairman of the South West Wales section of the MCC, Clive Hanham. "Originally we had booked the 10 days to coincide with the dates of the seaside resort's Summer Spectaculars, but although there are doubts over that event taking place, we are still hoping for a very large turnout for the rally," he continued. The rally will be adopting a Welsh theme, with the Tenby Male Voice Choir set to perform and plenty of Welsh outfits worn for the occasion. Also featured will be a host of items, including poems and pints, hog roast, treasure hunt, boules, bingo, cream tea, indoor table-top sale and musical entertainment with a children's disco, resident DJ and vocalist, plus much, much more.

"We're sure that the rally will generate a lot of interest for the town and we'd like to thank in advance the co-operation of the pupils, parents and staff of the school, which we very much appreciate," added Clive.
