The Youngs’ visit on October 10 was to celebrate Tina’s birthday; their first experience of Tenby.
“We had a wonderful day,” commented Phil. “The weather couldn’t have been better, and we will be back for a proper holiday. However, losing my ring at about 3.20 pm rather took the shine off the day. I must have lost it on the [Castle] beach at the bottom of the ramp near Dennis’s Cafe, where we enjoyed lovely fish and chips.
Later on I sat in three places on the beach while my wife explored the shops: over to the right near the stone wall, in the middle of the sand up above the high tide line, and over in the left hand corner against the stone wall.”
The wedding ring is platinum, looks like stainless steel, and has a patterned, engraved band around it. The Youngs spent a couple of hours looking for it but to no avail, and given the storms over the weekend, they think that metal detectors would give the best hope of finding the ring.
Who will accept the challenge? If anyone is successful in retrieving the lost wedding ring, they are requested to call 07729 319079.
“I’m happy to give a reward if some kind soul finds it. If it does not turn up I feel that we should return for a holiday and replace it from a shop in Tenby, to complete the circle, so to speak,” added Phil.
