That old military adage 'Never Volunteer For Anything' is about to be proved wrong yet again by the Pembroke Dock Sunderland Trust.
In advance of an announcement about an exciting new heritage initiative, the Trust is recruiting additional volunteers to its happy band who already run the very successful Flying Boat Centre.
An invitation is extended to potential recruits to attend an introductory volunteers meeting at Sunderland House, the Royal Dockyard, Pembroke Dock, on Monday, February 6.
The Trust's volunteer co-ordinator, Glynnis Iles, said: "We already have over 50 volunteers engaged in the project, plus enthusiastic Dive Group members. There are many areas to get involved in, from education and archiving to meeting the public and workshop roles at the Flying Boat Centre, which has had 20,000 visitors in the past 30 months.
"Plans for this year will shortly be announced and will offer new and exciting ways of mixing in with this unique heritage project."
Anyone interested in attending the volunteers meeting, or finding out more about the project, should contact Glynnis on 01646 623425 or e-mail [email protected]">[email protected]
