A Tenby butchers has been handing over tasty treats for frontline workers in the community with free goodie bags given out as a thank you for their services during the pandemic.
Caroline and Stewart from The Copper Hog on the High Street teamed up with local companies to put together the goodie bags completely free to all NHS, emergency staff and frontline workers.
Included in the goodie bags (provided by Pembroke Packaging & Print Ltd) are a selection of free range pork donated by Tenby woodland pork; Welsh spring lamb donated by Kerslake Meats Ltd; free range eggs from The Egg Shed Ltd; fresh bread produces which have just been delivered by The Paddock Bakery; fudge by Roly’s Fudge; and jams and chutneys by Little Grandma’s Kitchen.
With around 60 to 70 bags snapped up on Tuesday morning, Stewart and Caroline said: “Hours of free work have been put in by all involved so we can say thank you, and what an absolute honour it has been to be able to give something back to those truly deserving for many reasons.
“We would like to say thank you again to all those who donated and to everyone that came.
“We would also like to mention the very talented Hayden Johns for his time which he gave up to help us and Maddock Kembery Meats for the Transportation of the pig and other free services that were provided,” they added.
