LOCAL schoolgirl Miranda Davies has had a wonderful year in athletics. Eleven-year-old Miranda, who runs for Tenby Junior School, the county and Pembrokeshire Harriers, was awarded the school's athletics shield, as well as a trophy for second place in the county cross country event last October. She runs regularly in competitions, competing against some of the best in Wales in the Welsh Junior League, and has recorded some excellent times in the 800m and 1,500m. Miranda is the daughter of Martin and Penny Davies, of Knowling Mead, Tenby.
