TWO Tenby brothers, Dai and Brian Spencer, are under starters orders for this Sunday's London Marathon. Dai (seen right) will be competing in his seventh gruelling challenge around the capital and 11th full marathon, while Brian will be taking part in his third London Marathon and fifth in total. Also lacing up his running shoes for the 26.2 mile race is Ashley Hooper, who hails from Tenby, but lives and works in London. All three will be running in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the money collected will be added to the sum already raised by a group of local running enthusiasts. Over the last two years, the group has collected in excess of £2,500 and the grand total, including the marathon sponsorship, will be presented to the charity at the end of the month. Sponsor forms for their marathon appeal are behind the bar at Tenby Bowling Club.
