A teenager was taken to hospital on Friday night after collapsing on a beach in Tenby.

Tenby and Manorbier combined Coastguard Rescue Team were called to Castle Beach, at approximately 8.15 pm, after a 14-year-old boy had collapsed after a run around with his friends.

The coastguards stabilised the youth, who was complaining of back and hip pain, believed to be a recurrence of an injury received earlier in a rugby match, until the paramedics arrived and transported him to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
