We are Open - Officially
Club president, Mr. Ben Owens, delivered the first wood of the season at the annual opening ceremony held on Saturday - and it was a toucher!
Jonathan Webb, our youngest chairman, ever, welcomed the eager Tenby bowlers to our 80th season and wished them all good bowling on the immaculate looking green. He then asked club president Ben Owens to break the ice with the time honoured ritual.
Ben nonchalantly rolled the ceremonial silver jack, donated by Ceris and Winifred Hewlings and then, after a little thought, launched the first 'wood' of the season with aplomb, missing the jack by the proverbial coat of paint.
Then everyone joined in the opening and found the green equally as good as it looked - well done Chris Jenkins.
