Nick Bourne, Assembly Member for Mid & West Wales and Welsh Conservative Leader in the National Assembly for Wales, has written to Assembly Transport Minister, Brian Gibbons, to demand to know why improvements to the traffic lights on the A477 trunk road at Broadmoor have not been undertaken as promised. In his letter, Nick Bourne said: "I refer to previous correspondence with your predecessor regarding problems being experienced with the traffic lights on the A477 at Broadmoor in Pembrokeshire. "I was assured in a letter dated August 13, 2006, that a recent survey had identified a programme of remedial works that needed to be carried out. This included converting the site to MOVA (Microprocessor Optimised Vehicle Actuation Control) to increase the capacity at the junction and rectify queuing on the trunk road. These works were due to be completed in the financial year 2006/07. "I have now been informed that these works have not been undertaken and that the traffic problems still exist. I should be grateful, therefore, if you could advise me why this has not been done as promised and when these works are scheduled to be undertaken."
