A GROUP of 54 young French students from the 'Collège Privè de la Maine', South of Nantes, have been enjoying the sights and sunshine in and around Tenby.

The students have spent five nights in the area and have been on a number of excursions around Wales every day.

The visits have included St. Davids Cathedral and Pembroke Castle, as well as Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and Welsh Folk Museum.

"We hope to show the students some of the interesting features of Pembrokeshire and educate them on the history of Wales," explained teacher, Mrs. Le Guen, who along with help from guide, Mr. John Davies, has overseen the day trips.

The students have been staying in and around Tenby with local host families, some of whom have included retired couples, young families with or without children and single parents.

Another group of French students is due to arrive next Sunday, May 9. They will be staying in the area until the following Thursday.

Anyone interested in hosting the students is asked to contact Mrs. Claudine French on 01443 791520 or 07971 646153.
