Bluestone National Park Resort in Pembrokeshire has become the UK’s first fossil fuel-free holiday park.

The resort now offers a getaway where children splash in a solar-powered water park, while its 300 lodges are warmed by recycled cooking oil, and morning walks through ancient woodlands leave no carbon footprint.

Powered entirely by renewable energy including solar, BioLPG made from food waste, and hydrotreated vegetable oil, Bluestone is more than a destination, it’s a blueprint for regenerative tourism.

With tourism now responsible for 9% of global carbon emissions, and 71% of UK holidaymakers now seeking sustainability information before booking, Bluestone’s transformation couldn’t be more timely.

Bluestone is also the only holiday park to have earned a King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
