Sir,

On behalf of the entire Cathead Dooley band from Macon, Georgia, USA, I want to thank you and the Tenby Observer for your very kind article of June 6, 2003, regarding our performances for the Texaco Charity Weekend at Folly Farm. Your 'paper's coverage and photos of my band were very gracious.

My dear friend, Lord Gordon Parry, was very kind to send me a copy of the newspaper. In addition to appreciating the article about my band, I must also say that I very much enjoyed reading the entirety of the Tenby Observer. You have an excellent newspaper and I found the diverse coverage, the various 'Useful Information' blocks, and the delightful and informative regional coverage very helpful for a visitor.

All of us in the Cathead Dooly band had a wonderful time in Pembrokeshire. We stayed at the Park Hotel in Tenby and I must say that the beach at Tenby is as beautiful as any I have ever enjoyed. We were pleased to have time to visit the town of Tenby and to do a little shopping and sightseeing. Tenby is a wonderfully magical place for residents and visitors alike.

Especially kind to us were all the wonderful people of Pembrokeshire who came to our performances and who greeted us wherever we travelled. We very much look forward to the honour of being able to perform in Wales again next year.

Until then, when we can again see your wonderful area, you have our heartfelt thanks and fond regards.
