Sir,
I feel I have to write in response to the letter in the October 10 edition from 'a Tenby lover'. I too am appalled at the level of dog fouling in Tenby, especially in St. John's Hill area. I have to walk up and down St. John's Hill to and from work and daily have problems whilst walking on the footpath.
The levels of fouling right outside peoples houses is disgusting. I regularly see older people having to wash down the pavements and the smell is awful.
I have witnessed two of the offending dogs - no owners in sight! I have written and emailed the council. Whilst the council has acknowledged my complaint, they have yet to confirm what they intend to do about the issue.
I love dogs although I do not own one, but when I did, I was a responsible owner and cleaned up after them I will add!
Doggy bags are cheap enough - the £1 shop sell them! It is disgusting to force this level of fouling on your fellow Tenby residents!
D. Greenwood,
Tenby.
