Narberth Museum kicks off 2026 with an exciting new exhibition from a local wildlife photographer.

January 10 sees the launch of the photographic installation, celebrating the beauty and fragility of the natural world.

Sarah Bonser-Blake has been photographing wildlife since she could hold a camera, and that passion has continued throughout her life and work.

From the puffins of Pembrokeshire to the apes of Asia, Sarah’s collection spans a diversity of species and a range of geographical locations.

“I want each canvas to tell a story, from an animal’s personality to the way they interact with their environment, and how we as humans interact with them. The wildlife around us is so magnificent, I only hope my photographs can capture even just a small element of that,” she said.

Not only does Sarah photograph animals, but she also works with them too. Sarah has a degree in animal biology, a diploma in animal management, and over 15 years of experience working in animal care facilities, both in the UK and abroad.

The exhibition comprises a selection of 60 x 40cm canvasses, printed with eco-conscious materials which are available to purchase. A selection of smaller photography prints featuring native species will also be available in the Chapter One bookshop where Sarah is a volunteer.

Running through to Saturday, February 28, the exhibition promises to transport the viewer across the globe and into the brilliance and splendour of the natural world.

The Museum is situated in the Bonded Stores building on Church Street in Narberth.

This installation is the latest in a changing programme of exhibitions featured within the museum.

Please note, outside of the launch event which is free to attend, entry to the exhibition entails a cost for museum entrance and includes access to all collections.
