The sun shone brightly and crowds poured into the picturesque seaside village of Amroth for the fourth annual Community Carnival.
It was a day of fun and excitement, with stalls and amusements filling the sea-front.
The day began with the sandcastle competition, and with plenty of imaginative creations on display, the judges had a very hard time deciding on the winners, eventually settling on Rhiannon Daye and Megan and Nil Roberts' entry.
Next there was more excitement for the youngsters as the children's races took place on the beach, followed by live music and entertainment on the stage to get the crowd in a party mood.
Then came 3 pm and the highlight of the day, with the carnival procession beginning at Summerhill, led by the very gifted Milford Haven Cadets and first to follow, this year's Carnival Queen, Cherie Morgan, and her attendant, Rebecca Chatwin, clearly enjoying their trip in an elegant horse-drawn cart.
As the large crowds covered the coastal village, eager to get a clear view and photograph of the proceedings, the walking competitors joined the cavalcade at the Temple Bar.
Participants this year must be congratulated for their original fancy dress costumes and cleverly decorated floats, with topical and traditional outfits evenly represented.
Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble were followed by Laurel and Hardy, while a young David Beckham lookalike was ready and packed for his trip to Madrid.
The floats captured the summer mood, with many going for the Hawaiian look, while the young Summerhill Squaddies were ready for action should they be called on.
After the judging and presentation of the prizes, DJ and the Music Machine soon got the village bouncing again with his lively disco and the crowd soon had to look to the skies with a stunning stunt aeroplane display.
With the traditional tug-of-war drawing large support for the teams as ever, there was more music from The Big Beat Boogey Band, before the spectacular fireworks display brought the memorable day to a close.
