As a tribute to members of the armed forces who were involved in the D Day Normandy landings, 65 years ago, Amroth and District Community Association will be holding a special screening of the film The Longest Day on Wednesday.
The film, starring John Wayne and Richard Burton, amongst others, will commence at 7 pm at Amroth Parish Hall, Summerhill. There will be a short break halfway through for tea, coffee and biscuits.
Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
Following on from the film night, a quiz night will be held the following Wednesday, on June 10, with entry fee £2 to include a raffle ticket, while there will be a bowls 'taster night' on Tuesday, June 16, at 7 pm.
The next film night at the Parish Hall will be on June 17, at 7 pm for a 7.30 pm start.
