Among matters considered and discussed at the November meeting of Amroth Community Council were the following:
Outstanding issues to be addressed
Road sinking on Amroth Hill by the 30mph signs. The clerk was to contact Welsh Water about the areas that are sinking.
Dangerous trees at Stepaside needing to be cut back. The clerk was to email PCC.
The footpath FP1/7 was overgrown and the stile was broken and needed replacing, as people were walking on residents' land. The gate on the footpath had been broken. Clr. Brinsden was to chase this up
Electric speed warning signs at the exit and entrance into Llanteg on the A477 from the new bypass - The Trunk Road Agency had passed the council's concerns to Wales Government who in turn had asked the community council to complete a questionnaire highlighting problems on the trunk road.
Road safety concerns - Dangerous section of road at Cambrian Cross. PCC had been out to investigate and concluded that visibility was OK.
Gullies on the old Amroth road had now been jetted through, but a collapsed pipe had been found and was now on the schedule of work to be done.
Letter from PCC asking if the community council was responsible for the upkeep of any war memorials. The community council did not have responsibility for any.
There are, however, memorials in Llanteg Village Hall and Amroth Church.
County Councillor Brinsden
A lot of complaints had been received about the drop of the verge by the new road in Llanteg.
Highways would wait for drier weather before putting down stone chipping to reduce the drop. PCC were asked to resurface the road from the top of Trelessy Road to Summerbrook - this was not currently a priority.
There had been an incidence of fly-tipping. Two ice-cream fridges at the entrance to the Woodland Trust. Thankfully PCC cleared the rubbish away quickly. Council had considered installing security cameras in order to prevent this occurring.
The police were also regularly visiting the area as priority to ensure no more fly-tipping.
Christmas bin collections: Only collections on the Thursday and Friday prior to Christmas would be affected by the holiday and those collections would take place on the Saturday and Sunday. All other collections would remain the same.
Llanteg Community Association
The speed and professionalism of the PCC employees who had cleared the ditches and cleaned pipes in Llanteg was commended - an excellent job was done.
It was agreed a letter of thanks be sent to the kind individual in the community who identified and reported the fly-tipping incident.
Amroth and District Community Association
The association was pleased with the increase in bookings for a number of parties in the hall. Everyone was excited about the fantastic concert planned for December 5 in the hall, featuring the Greenhill band.
Planning
1 Morgans Way - retain use of existing converted garage as a holiday unit (approved with conditions).
Temple Bar, Amroth - move LPG tank 20m and enclose compound (approved).
The Cedars, Amroth - loft conversion of detached bungalow (approved).
Land south Green Plains, Stepaside - erection of stable block and associated groundworks (objections raised).

Other
Matters
Councillors expressed concern over the danger due to cars being parked by property in Llanteg, causing an obstruction to the view of people coming out of Ledgerland Road and the 30 mph sign, as well as damaging the grass verge along the highway. The clerk was to send a letter.
A car had been abandoned in front of the garage at the council houses in Summerhill. The clerk was to contact PCSO Jim Moffat.
The date of the next meeting is Thursday, December 18, at 7 pm, at Llanteg Village Hall.
