Sir,
Firstly may I wish you, your staff and all your readers a very happy New Year. I was hoping you could find a space, in your letters section, so I could praise the amazing night my family and I had in Tenby this New Year's Eve.
I am a 'local' girl, but moved away 15 years ago. We wanted to spend New Year in Tenby, but needed somewhere the whole family would enjoy, from my parents aged 67 to my 18-year-old son... so we booked tickets for Renaissance at the De Valence. We had no idea what to expect, but just hoped for a good night.
And boy did we get one. Once the dancing started we hardly left the dance floor. Where else would you get a place where the age group and '60s style to present day music was catered for.
From the moment we walked in you could see how well organised it was. From the professional but friendly door staff, to the table set with balloons and candles and most importantly to the fast service at the bar.
The live band were out of this world, and the DJ great. It was so nice to get the chance to see so many old friends. At midnight we linked hands and sang, but we were also able to go out into Tenby to soak up the fabulous atmosphere that was Tudor Square.
Congratulations Renaissance, thanks to you we started the new year off together as a family. We will 100 per cent come down again next year. Looking forward to the party for the end of 2014 already.
