A Narberth Brownie pack enjoyed a fun-filled weekend of outdoor excitement at Sealyham Activity Centre, thanks to a donation from Valero Pembroke Refinery.
Members of the 2nd Narberth Brownies spent a weekend learning new skills and taking part in a variety of activities at the historic grounds of Sealyham mansion house. Valero’s donation of £500 to the Brownies helped pay for extra adventurous activities for the girls, aged between seven and 10 years old.
Brownie leader, Alison Daws, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Valero, whose donation was a massive help towards the overall cost of putting on this weekend adventure for the Brownies. We are very appreciative also to Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club as well for the support they provided, as the funding we get from external organisations makes a real difference to our ability to put on these wonderful trips for the girls.”
Stephen Thornton, refinery public affairs manager, also said: “Getting to grips with nature in the wonderful Pembrokeshire countryside is something all children should experience, and Valero is delighted to have been able to help Narberth Brownies on their holiday adventure to Sealyham, where they hopefully had great fun as well as picked up new skills.”
