Sir,
My wife and I went down to Saundersfoot harbour on Sunday night for a walk. There were lots of people there fishing, which was good to see, so decided to walk all around the harbour wall.
There were three trawler boats in. As I walked close to one of them, there were about six crates of dead crab on the path next to the boat. It stank and there were flies everywhere. I lifted some tarpauling that covered another three boxes, only to find loads and loads of dead dog fish.
It was absolututely disgusting. Surely if people are going to keep these fish for crab bait, they should at least keep them on their boat.
I even went to see if the harbourmaster was there to report it, but no one was to be seen. This shouldn't be allowed surely.
I think this is why we see dead fish washed up on our beaches and in our harbours! The boat had come from the east coast of Scotland, so why would it come all the way here - to do crab or whelk fishing?
