The industrious ladies at Tenby Day Care Centre have triumphed again; along with a group of generous donors, nearly all of their beautifully knitted blankets, hats and scarves have been purchased and donated to the PATCH charity, which is based in Milford Haven.

PATCH (Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardship), was set up to help anyone in need in the county.

Providing clothing, bedding, household goods and much more, even Christmas gifts for children of families who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own.

Tracy Olin, co-ordinator for PATCH, was delighted with the donated goods and said: "There are a lot of demands on people's cash at this time of the year and we understand that.

"However, PATCH supports needy people all year around and we're always grateful for donations of any size."
