Sir, I would like to say thank you, through your pages, to all the people that helped to make the Lions Club Sponsored Ride for the Air Ambulance such a pleasure to take part in. I have participated in this ride for several years now, and from the point of view of marshalling etc, this one had to be the best, right down to the people to open and close the gates for us. They were constantly courteous and helpful. We had a lovely day for it and the countryside we rode through was glorious. Thank you again to those people who so wholeheartedly opened their land - it's not everyone who can contemplate a herd of riders crossing their fields with equanimity! The water break was well placed and really welcome; all in all, it was a day out to treasure, and it must have been enjoyed by everyone who took part, and hopefully, I don't just mean the riders. Many thanks again to all who helped to organise this event, may there be many more or them.
