Tenby RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat was requested to launch just after 10am on Friday, May 1, after the occupants of a 21ft pleasure boat reported they had suffered engine failure between Lydstep and Giltar.

The volunteer crew were soon on the water, arriving on scene just 10 minutes later.

Having spoken with the occupants and with the vessel in danger of drifting onto the rocks, it was decided the safest option would be to tow the vessel back to Saundersfoot.

Once back at Saundersfoot and with the tide out, the vessel was moored in the bay.
