A Pembroke man will appear at Swansea Crown Court next month after admitting a series of serious driving offences.

Twenty-two-year-old Shane William Goodridge, of The Green, appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court last week, to plead guilty to driving a Peugeot 207 dangerously on Hamilton Terrace, on Saturday, March 11.

He also admitted four further driving offences including - taking a vehicle without consent of the owner; being the driver of a vehicle that failed to stop on Waterloo Road in Milford Haven after damage was caused to another vehicle; driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising him to drive a motor vehicle; driving against a policy of insurance.

Mr. Goodridge also admitted assaulting a police constable in the execution of their duty.

The matters were committed to Swansea Crown Court for sentencing on April 11, with the defendant remanded in custody on the grounds that he may commit further offences or fail to surrender, and due to the nature and seriousness of the offences, and also the defendant’s antecedent history.
