Tenby RNLI’s volunteer crew were requested to launch the Tamar class lifeboat shortly before 9 pm on Tuesday evening after a report that a 12-year-old child had gone missing at Llangennith beach on the Gower.

As the crew were assembling at the station, they were stood down after the child was found safe and well by his father.
