A circus that starts its run in Tenby tomorrow, has had its advertising trailer stolen from a main route into the area.

Circus Mondao have reported the matter to police, after the trailer (pictured) was taken from a grass verge alongside Kilgetty roundabout some time on Tuesday (May 24) evening.

“We are back in Tenby, after a two year absence due to the pandemic, and we have really struggled over these past two years, living off food banks and scraping by, so we have been so pleased to finally return to Wales and do what we do best, entertaining families - but unfortunately it seems on Tuesday evening that our advertising trailer was stolen from the Kilgetty roundabout,” said Petra Jackson from Circus Mondao, who will be located on Marsh Road for the duration of their run in the seaside town.

“We are asking if anyone saw it being taken, or has seen it since parked up somewhere, or for any dash cam footage of it passing that way.

“We have been busy this morning trying to contact local scrap metal merchants to report it stolen, as we are guessing it will be used for scrap as it’s made of metal.

“All councils and highways agency have been contacted and they have not removed it.

“We have placed it in the same place every year we have visited. If anyone has seen it or can shed some light we would be grateful,” she added.

Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that they have received a report of the trailer being stolen.
