Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to a reported incident of attempted abduction of a 12-year-old in Pembrokeshire. At approximately 3.55pm on Tuesday March 24, a 12-year-old child, who was walking along Scarrowscant Lane, near to Furzy Park, in Haverfordwest, was approached by two males in a vehicle.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powyd Police said: “The passenger of the car is reported to have exited the vehicle and spoken to the child and then placed his hands on her arm. He then let go and returned to the vehicle, which was driven off in the direction of Furzy Park.
“The child did not sustain any injuries, and returned home and informed their parents, who alerted police.
“The driver did not exit the car at any point. The vehicle involved is described to be similar to an Audi A4, in a shiny blue colour.
“The man who exited the vehicle is described as white, around 5ft 11, with short dark brown hair and a brown beard and believed to be aged in his forties.
“He was dressed in a black t- shirt, black jogging bottoms and white trainers. There is currently no description available of the driver.
“Local officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries since this matter was reported and are now appealing for anyone who may have information that could assist our investigation.”
