Police in Pembrokeshire called for local RNLI crews and coastguards to assist them, after a person was spotted floating in the water after midnight (May 24).
Angle RNLI’s liefboat crew were paged at 12.50am this morning to reports of a person in difficulty in the water off Smokehouse Quay, Milford Haven.
The person was floating on their back 50 metres off the wall, and police officers were on scene attempting to reach the casualty.
Just 8 minutes after the page, the lifeboat was slipping her lines when a cancel launch message was received as the casualty had been recovered and was secure with police officers.
The lifeboat’s moorings were retied and the crew headed home just after 1.15am. Dale Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked to the scene.
