A Liverpool man has had to pay over £1,000 in fines and compensation after admitting to the assault of a Pembrokeshire newspaper editor in Milford.
Twenty-nine-year-old Gary Kevin David Morrissey, of St. Anne Street, Merseyside, appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, to plead guilty to a charge of assaulting Thomas Sinclair by beating him in Charles Street, Milford Haven, on August 18.
Magistrates gave the defendant a 12-month community order and fined him £916 for the charge.
Mr. Morrissey was also ordered to pay £125 compensation, £85 prosecution costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
