Tenby’s RNLI all-weather lifeboat Haydn Miller launched shortly before 4 am on Sunday after the owner of a yacht moored off the resort thought that the vessel moored near him had broken its mooring and was drifting eastwards.

The lifeboat was soon on the water and the volunteer crew quickly located the yacht in question.

After speaking to the owner, who was aboard, he confirmed that he was not drifting and was in no need of assistance.

The lifeboat made a quick search of the area to rule out any other casualties before returning to station at around 4.20 am.
