Tenby’s Coastguard team were paged just after 1 pm on Saturday (June 26) to investigate an object which had been washed ashore on Lydstep beach.
Upon arrival the team located the object which was identified as TEP (time expired pyrotechnics), and photographs were sent to MRCC for full identification.
As the object was identified as military, further assistance was requested from Qinetiq and a member of their personnel attended the scene.
The object was then safely removed from the site by Qinetiq personnel for safe disposal.
