Tenby Coastguard team were tasked on Sunday to assist RNLI?lifeguards on South Beach to tend to an injured person.

On arrival, shortly after 3 pm, the casualty had been treated by lifeguards but needed assistance to reach the car park.

The casualty was placed onto a stretcher and carried from the beach by Coastguard officers and lifeguards, before then being transferred into care of relatives for the onward journey to hospital to receive further medical care.
