A Pembroke motorist has been banned from getting behind the wheel of a car for a year and hit with a hefty court bill of £1,505 after being found guilty of a drink driving offence.
Sixty-one-year-old Andrew Hiles Weare, of Golden Lane, was found guilty of driving his Renault Megane on Woodbine Terrace, whilst exceeding the prescribed limit of alcohol, at a trial held at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Friday.
The defendant had previously pleaded not guilty to driving his vehicle with 55 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath at a hearing on January 24.
At the trial on Friday, Mr. Weare who was represented by DJ Parsons of driving offence specialists Geoffrey Miller Solicitors was found guilty of being over the limit for the offence which occurred on January 8 of this year.
Magistrates disqualified the defendant from driving for a year and fined him £750 for the offence.
Mr. Weare was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £680 and a £75 victim surcharge.
