Angle RNLI has a hectic September with various call-outs.

At 10.55pm on Wednesday, September 9 the crew were tasked alongside St Govan’s Coastguard Rescue Team to assist Dyfed Powys Police with an incident at Pembroke Dock.

The lifeboat stood by for around 40 minutes until the incident was safely concluded by police officers. With no further assistance required the crew were stood down and the lifeboat was back alongside her berth by 12.30am.

At 11.39pm on Wednesday, September 16 the crew were tasked alongside Little Haven Inshore Lifeboat and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Dale, Broad Haven and St David’s to assist Dyfed Powys Police with the search for a missing person at Broad Haven North Beach.

The lifeboat launched and made best speed to the area. Once off Borough Head the crew began a shoreline search in the direction of Broad Haven North Beach. Not long into the search the casualty was located by the Coastguard Teams in Broad Haven.

With this the crew were stood down and the lifeboat was back alongside her berth and ready for further service by 2.30am.

At 6.38pm on Friday, September 18 the crew were tasked to assist a 9 meter yacht with four persons onboard which had broken down and was dragging anchor towards the shore off Milford Shelf.

The lifeboat launched shortly after and was soon on scene. After assessing the situation and with a fresh southwesterly force 6 wind blowing the casualty vessel towards the shore a tow was swiftly rigged and the yacht taken to the safety of the lock at Milford Marina.

With no further assistance required and the vessel left to be taken into the marina by the marinas workboat, the crew were stood down and the lifeboat was back alongside and ready for service by 7.30pm.
