2017 has seen the introduction of Just Tri junior triathlon club which has been set up to provide children in Pembrokeshire with an opportunity to gain experience within triathlon in a fun and safe environment.

January has been a hugely successful opening month for Just Tri, with weekly sessions attracting between 25 and 32 budding athletes.

The club focuses primarily on running and cycling and weekly sessions are held on the astro turf pitch at Greenhill School in Tenby.

Just Tri is open to boys and girls between seven and 14 years of age and is made up of all abilities.

On the last Saturday of the month, a session was held at Carew Karting Centre, where athletes were able to put their cycling skills to the test with a number of challenging bends and some long straights to build up some speed.

Just Tri is holding a ‘skills school’ in half term which will consist of swimming, cycling and running.

It will also build up transition skills and focus on race day skills.
