Tomorrow (Saturday), Whitland will play their last game in the Swalec Championship for at least one season, when the Borderers will be home to another relegated club, Glamorgan Wanderers, in a basement battle.
When the Borderers drop down one division next season, the journeys to away matches will be much shorter so that travelling costs will be greatly reduced.
In addition, the more localised nature of the fixtures will result in opportunities for larger gates and clubhouse turnover, with some matches having a local derby flavour.
The match on Saturday will kick off at 2.30 pm.
