Newbridge 1st XV 26 pts. Whitland 1st XV 12

Whitland made the the long journey to play third place Newbridge last Saturday in the Championship, but came away with nothing going down by 26 points to 12.

At the break, Whitland were level with the home side at seven points each, an early try by winger Trevor Evans converted by number 10 Neil Burnett for Newbridge was cancelled out by Whitland flanker Luke Owen scoring the try and number 10 Nico Setaro converting.

In the second half, the home side crossed for three further tries giving them a bonus point, two by Dan Mock and the other by fullback Ryan Lee, with Burnett converting two.

Whitland did score a late unconverted try by winger Dafydd Williams, but it was to little to late and the home side ran out winners by 26 points to 12.

Pembroke Dock Youth 20 Whitland Youth 12

Whitland travelled to play Pembroke Dock Quins last Saturday and found themselves down 15 points to nil at the break, but came back stronger in the second half and scored two tries through Edward Noblett and Dan Lewis, with Jamie Harries converting one, but it was not enough and lost by 20 points to 12 in the end.
