The Long Distance Triathlon World Championships took place in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Northern Spain, last week, with Pembrokeshire's Andrew Finn making his debut for Team GB.

Andrew, who is son of David and Anthea Finn, of Pembroke Dock, qualified for Team GB after just two years competing in triathlons, training with London Fields Triathlon Club, where he is currently club captain.

Andrew was educated at Pembroke Secondary School and represented the school in rugby, athletics and cross country.

He played rugby for Pembroke Dock Quins and Tenby Youth and was also a member of Pembroke and District Swimming Club for many years.

Andrew graduated from the College of St. Marks and St. Johns in Plymouth as a PE teacher and is currently assistant principal of a secondary school in Newham, East London.
