Following a small period of drier weather, the new Trefloyne Manor golf school is nearing its completion.
With all of the structural work complete, we hope to open the facility to our members and guests from early April.
The covered range will offer golfers both grass and matted areas to hone their skills, as well as housing the Trefloyne Junior Academy and Inclusive Coaching Academy.
Head professional Oliver Duckett said: "This is a fantastic facility that will really put Trefloyne Manor on the map. I am looking forward to being able to deliver a first class golf coaching experience in a purpose-built environment, utilising industry leading custom fitting and coaching equipment.
"Our members who have been watching the progress of the new golf school are also very excited at the prospect of practising their skills 365 days a year."

'Give it a Go' ladies and girls taster sessions are back!
Following the success of our ladies and girls taster sessions last year, we are pleased to announce that they have returned for 2014. Throughout April and May our head professional will be offering a series of introductory lessons aimed at both ladies and girls who haven't played the game before and are interested in giving golf a try.
Funded by Golf Development Wales and supported by the Welsh Golf Union, the programme offers attendees six weeks of relaxed and fun coaching, on either week-day evenings or weekends, followed by a one month free trial membership.
Places often fill up very quickly, so if you are interested, please do not hesitate to give Oliver a call on 01834 845639 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
Greenkeeper's Ironman Challenge
One of our current greenkeepers, Andrew Burgess, will be taking on the challenge of a lifetime when he lines up with some of the world's top athletes at this year's Ironman Wales.
Andrew has entered several smaller events over the past two seasons, but this is by far his biggest challenge to date. He will be running for the charity Scope and can be sponsored via his Virgin Just Giving page or on his sponsor form in the Manor.
Everyone at Trefloyne would like to get behind Andrew and wish him all the best with his training and race day.
March Medal results
March Medal - Congratulations to Nick Cope (Division One), Barry Neale (Division Two) and Rosie Moore (Ladies), who recently won their respective divisions in the monthly medal.
With all the recent bad weather, the course has been holding up extremely well, with a full 18 holes in play and no restrictions.
Although the wind blew hard and rain fell sporadically throughout the day, some fantastic scores were returned.
The twos pot was taken by Nick Cope with two of them, while Julie Llama took the ladies' bag draw.
Knockout Cups
Please be aware that entries are now being taken for the 2014 knockout cups. Entries will close on April 5, with a live draw taking place in the Manor House on Sunday, April 6.
