Tenby Tennis Club awarded its annual trophy for Club Player of the Year for 2021 at its club session last week.

The trophy was kindly donated by Robert Mayhew in memory of his mother who worked at Greenhill School and was a great tennis fan.

Amongst the qualities required of the recipient were loyalty, commitment, enthusiasm, improvement and a team player.

With several candidates to choose from and after much discussion, the coaches decided to award Billy Evans with ‘Player of the Year’ (pictured with coach Iân Morris).

Many congratulations go to Billy who has been a dedicated member of the club and his improvement and development this year has been most impressive.

His kindness, consideration and help to younger players was also notable and he is always a cheerful member of the Club.
