THE final session at Tenby Sailing Club this season was on Wednesday, September 9th, when RYA qualification certificates were presented, writes Geoff Titterton.
Lots of juniors are coming through the system, with at least four Optimist sailors keen to race next season. Senior sailors watch out, the youngsters are on your tails!
Dinghy Racing: Tuesday September 8th: Calm waters, but shortening daylight hours, saw just three contenders. Results: 1, ILCA7, Steve Leach; 2, Osprey 1380, Robin Wood and Matt Goldwait; 3, R252, Julian Cumpsty and Alex McDonald.
Friday, September 11th: A good turnout of Redwings on a splendid evening as the sun was setting.
Clubhouse: New windows are being installed this month, along with improvements in the upper decks.
Terry Evans has announced that his quiz season starts on September 26th at 8pm, and will continue throughout the winter on the last Saturday of each month, except December.
Members and residents are reminded that the ‘Big Boat’ lift-out is on Monday, September 28th
