Last week’s photo was of course Bill Dowell at the helm of Redwing 228. This week’s photo features another pair of TSC sailors, do you know who they are?
The quiz league has now kicked off - thank you to the five teams that have entered so far. Cola Clan were top of the shop this month, then in order were Just Warming Up, Losers, Dashers and last but not least, The Four Amigos.
There is a long way to go until the final in November, so it is not too late to get a team together and join in, whether you want to enter the league or just a one-off, it is all for charity.
The Commodore’s quiz is held on the last Saturday in every month, the league works up to a grand final in November where a charity chosen by the league teams will be given a (hopefully) large donation. The next quiz will be on Saturday, February 24, starting at 7.30 ish.
The cost is £5 for a team of up to six people or £1 if you fancy your chances and go it alone. There will also be a raffle run at a cost of £1 a square and any donations will be gratefully received.
Rugby
As you are all probably well aware, the Six Nations kicks-off with Wales v Scotland at 2.45 pm tomorrow (Saturday), so why not come down to the club to watch the game and enjoy the atmosphere. The clubhouse will be open from 1.30 pm onwards for pre-match beverages.
Catering
It is hoped that the club will be installing a new caterer very soon. As soon as details are finalised, then information will be posted across our social media pages and website.
The club is also hosting a Valentine’s Night at the club on Saturday, February 17, with more details to come this week.
