DINGHY RACING
Five dinghies contested last Sunday’s dinghy races at Tenby Sailing Club in ideal conditions. The competitors were greeted with a steady force four easterly wind and a playful swell which, combined with blue skies, provided ideal racing conditions.
We were delighted to see all three of the club Lasers taking to the water, helmed by graduates of the club youth training sessions, as well as Peter Rose and Igor in a Scorpion and Jaime in his Osprey with guest crew Lucas.
The first race was won by Peter ahead of Jaime, with Carwyn Owen taking third in a closely contested race.
In the second race, also closely contested, Peter again took line honours from Jaime, with Harri Richards coming in third.
Race Officer Alistair Mackay set triangular courses which tested the spinnaker handling of the faster boats, adding to the enjoyment of the races.
