Club Sailing

Gale force winds on Sunday meant that no racing took place again. However, on Saturday, the club was represented at the annual regatta of Tata Steel Sailing Club in Port Talbot by Dan Jackson sailing his RS600. Competing in the general handicap class Dan achieved a fifth place in the first race but first place in the two subsequent races. Conditions were, as he put it 'proper honking,' by which he meant it was windy! And obviously to his liking. Well done Dan.

Forthcoming events

Blues Night, November 15: Well-known band Cottonmouth will once again be appearing at Tenby Sailing Club as part of Tenby Blues Festival. Diarise now!

Tenby Sailing Club annual prize-giving dinner: To be held at the Giltar Hotel, The Esplanade Tenby, on Friday, November 21, at 7 for 7.45 pm. Dinner, prize-giving and raffle, followed by a disco and bar until late. £26 per person. Dress code: black tie, lounge suit or mess dress. Please forward reservations, together with menu choices and your payment with any preferred seating arrangements, to the commodore. Payment must be made by November 15. Members have been emailed with full details.

AGM, Saturday, November 22: There are some vacancies on the committee and volunteers are sought to help in the running of the club. If any member out there would like to get involved, please get in touch with any current committee member, and/or come to the AGM and speak up!

Also, our membership secretary, Julia Dashfield, is relinquishing her post after many years service. Thanks Julia for all your work. That means we are looking for a replacement; get your application in quick!

The club is now open Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime.
