Club Sailing

A well attended meeting last Saturday discussed the format for racing over the forthcoming season. It was decided to keep the early, mid and late season series, and, of course, the overall championship. It was also decided to alter the division into two fleets so that division two will be a fleet for beginners/novices so that all competitors can sail with the prospect of success. Racing is to start with two races back to back at 10.30 on March 30. Time to get those boats out and make them ready for the season.

Club Developments

A new electronic key fob system has been installed to replace keys for the changing rooms and club room, as well as a comprehensive cctv system to help with security. The cameras are already proving their worth providing evidence for a recent incident in which one of the club's boats was damaged by a third party. One of the cameras is pointed at the dinghy park and, it is hoped, will help to prevent such incidents and dog fouling in the future.

DARTS

This (Friday) evening we are at home to that mean darting outfit fron the Tudor Lodge. Our record against then is dismal, to say the least. But who knows? Watch this space.

CAWL EVENING

Don't forget the legendary Terry Evans cawl evening at the club tomorrow (Saturday) from 7.30 pm. Unmissable!

To book, please call commodore Paul Evenden on 07967000884, or speak to Nathan or Jonathan behind the bar.  Numbers are limited and places are going fast. All bookings must be paid in full in advance - please make cheques payable to Bay of Bengal.
