Under 8s

Tenby Under 8s also played host to touring team Gowerton on Sunday. Gowerton could only field a small team, but managed to play eight-a-side. Captain for Tenby was Duane Lee John. Gowerton won the toss and immediately headed towards Tenby's try-line, but the defence was immense and soon created turnover ball. From that moment on, Tenby were pretty dominant throughout, only allowing Gowerton to score three times in the three 10-minute periods. The passing between the Tenby team was probably the best all season, and the tagging seemed effortless - an all round fantastic effort. Final score 14-3 to Tenby. Team: Duane Lee, capt, Iori (3 tries), Dylan (2), Ollie (1), Kyle (2), Fletcher (3), Toby (3), Tom and Iorri.

Tenby U9s

Easter Sunday saw the Under 9s play two egg-cellent games against Pembroke Dock Quins! The boys had two cracking games and left the players and parents shell-shocked at the scores! The first match ended with a score of 10-6 to Tenby. All boys tackled and passed well. Matty scored first for Tenby in the right corner, followed by a try by Jacob who left opposition trailing behind. Stefan scored a great try and Archie soon followed with one in the left corner. Ollie scored from the tap-off at the halfway line, followed by a try in the right corner by Alfie, who avoided being tackled. With a change over of players at half-time, Jake scored an amazing try by avoiding tackles, Rhys scored in the right corner, followed by a run down the wing by Jasey, and Denholm pushed his way through for his fantastic try! Jasey Brace was named man-of-the-match. A second game was played, with Stefan scoring Tenby's first try with a run down the wing after a pass from Alfie. Archie was next to score after a great tackle and pass by Jake, followed by a quick run down the wing by Ollie. Alfie forced his way through the opposition for his try and Archie zig-zagged his way through, followed by another great run by Ollie to the try line. Matty side-stepped his way through for his try, followed by a great run by Archie. The score was 8-1 at half-time. The ref couldn't keep up with Ollie as he raced to to the try line, and there was no stopping Alfie as he ran in for another. Matty scored a fantastic try and avoided tackles. Ollie's fifth try of the day was in the left corner, followed by Tenby's last try of the match by Alfie, who barged his way through the Quins side. End result was 13-3 to Tenby. Jake Henson was man-of-the-match. Well done to everyone on a fantastic team effort. A great day was had by all. Well done boys... we'll be hoping for a great result at next week's matches! Thanks to Siobhan for bringing Creme Eggs for all the boys. Hope you all had a great Easter break.
