To cap a memorable season for Tenby AFC, five of their players were recently selected to play for the West Wales Football Association in the FAW Regions Cup competition. Billy Vaughan, Curtis Hurlow, Daryl Mansbridge, Jordan Richards and Callum Proctor all travelled to Latham Park, the home ground of League of Wales side Newtown FC to play their counterparts from the North Wales Coast FA. A sixth player, Sonny Phillips, was also selected, but had to withdraw because of work commitments. A win, by two clear goals, for the West Wales team would have seen them top the table and represented Wales in Estonia in a few weeks time. They had the perfect start by scoring early on in the first half, but midway through the second half NWCFA equalised and just as it looked like the game would go into extra time, the North Wales coast side scored the winner in injury time.
