The recent weekend saw Tenby Aces members compete in events both close to home and far away. A small contingent of Aces, Billy Connor, Carlton Coates, Nicola Coates and Simon Griffiths made the trip to Nottingham to take on the Outlaw event. The fantastic four braved all the perilous hazards one would expect to face in Englandshire, most notably weed-filled lakes and a flat bike course (who knew they existed?!) but they prevailed, with all finishing in very respectable times. Closer to home there were plenty of Aces on the Tenby 10k route, braving the changeable conditions that seemed to get hotter as the morning/afternoon progressed, with those water stations being utilised fully in the last 2k. There were some exceptionally strong performances by Aces members which is always encouraging to see, especially from youngsters. Special thanks to Ann Rowell and the rest of the organising team for continuing to stage a fantastic and fun event. With the weather starting to trend upwards, now's the perfect time to head out on your bike, put on your shoes or your wetsuit.
