WELSH INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS held at the Channel View Leisure Centre in Cardiff: Nalda Wainright gained a silver medal in both the 2km and 500m distances and fourth place in the 100m distance.

ESCAPE TO AFAN held in the scenic Afan Forest Country Park: Kathryn Bates and Steven Keating took part in this new event in the sprint distance - 5km run, 14km bike and 2.5km run. The run took in the stunning sights of Bryn Bettws Lodge. Steven came second in his age group and 18th overall.

10 km NARBERTH NIGHT KNOBBLER held on the trails around Narberth: Stephanie Waring came in first overall, so also first in age group, while Edward Clements and Dave Kent both came in second in their age groups. Donna Bradley, Rosie Badger, Melanie Morgan, Karina Ebsworth, Gracie Davies, Emma Richards, Caroline Cumberlin, Cindy Richards, Alan Richards, Adrian Wilson, Ashley Thompson, Neil Morgan, Chris Ebsworth and Gary Waring also took part.

There were muddy tracks, hills, fire dancers and the odd stream! The course was fully marked and marshalled by ‘Wolves’ to make sure runners stayed on track, so a head torch was a must.

Congratulations to the organisers, as all who took part had a great time, lots of laughs and very muddy boots!
